FAQ
Are Veymax wheels compatible with other electric skateboard brands?
Our wheels are compatible with some models from other brands. We recommend consulting our team for compatibility and installation instructions.
What are the different types of Electric skateboards wheels?
- Polyurethane (PU) Wheels: The most common type, durable and fast, ideal for commuting on flat roads, but less comfortable on rough terrain.
- Pneumatic Tires: High comfort, excellent shock absorption and wet grip, but prone to punctures and have high rolling resistance.
- All-Terrain (AT) Wheels: Suitable for rough surfaces like mud, grass, and gravel, offering strong traction, but heavy and power-consuming.
- Rubber Wheels: Softer and quieter than PU, providing a smooth ride, but wear out faster.
Key Factors:
- Size: Larger wheels (e.g., 105mm and above) offer a smoother ride on rough terrain, while smaller wheels (e.g., 85mm and below) accelerate faster but perform poorly on uneven surfaces.
- Hardness: Softer wheels (78A–83A) absorb shocks better and provide more comfort on rough roads; harder wheels (88A and above) are faster and more responsive but transmit more vibration.
What is the effect of wheel size/softness?
When choosing wheels, consider the type of skateboard and the environment in which it will be used. Soft wheels provide good comfort and are better suited for uneven surfaces, while hard wheels are for smooth skate parks or urban surfaces.
Smaller wheels are ideal for street and technical skating as they are lighter, provide a quicker pop, and are more responsive. Bigger wheels are heavier but roll faster and retain speed better.
How do I maintain my esk8 wheels properly?
Stay Clean: Wipe your wheels with a damp cloth regularly to remove dirt and debris, keeping them in top condition and preventing performance issues.
Inspect for Damage: Regularly check your wheels for cracks, flat spots, or uneven wear. If you see any, it might be time to replace them.
Avoid Harsh Conditions: Stay away from rough terrain, sharp objects, and extreme weather to minimize damage and enhance wheel longevity.
Store Properly: Keep your Veymax skateboard in a dry, cool area, away from direct sunlight and moisture when not in use to protect your wheels.
